Vehicle backs into popular south Denver restaurant

DENVER — Workers will be fixing the front of a well-known restaurant in south Denver Wednesday, after an SUV backed into it late Tuesday night.
Witness saw an SUV back into the storefront of Reivers Bar and Grill on South Gaylor Street near Washington Park shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, and say the vehicle was trying to back into a parking space when the accident occurred.
The SUV jumped a curb and then accelerated into the building.
No one was hurt in the accident, and there is no word on how long the restaurant will remain closed.
