Texas man suspected of killing Ethiopian couple caught in Colorado

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A man who shot a husband and wife to death on the porch of their Dallas, Texas home was caught and jailed in Arapahoe County over the weekend.

According to an official at the Aurora Detention Center, Abey Bellette Girma was transferred to the Arapahoe County Jail on Sunday night and booked on capital murder charges.

Dallas police issued a warrant for Girma after they discovered the bodies of Yayehyirad Lemma and Yenenesh Desta, a couple who ran an Ethiopian restaurant, on Aug. 15. According to the Dallas News, Lemma and Desta were killed after returning from a 16-hour shift at their restaurant

According to FOX4 Dallas, a police affidavit said Girma believed the couple had disrespected him.
