Family of woman killed in crash searches for her missing dog

THORNTON, Colo. — A week after a deadly crash took the life of a young couple, the victim’s family is asking for help in finding a dog believed to be inside the car at the time of the wreck.
Family members of Anastasia Schauer, who died in a crash on I-25 on August 15th, are hoping somone will come forward to track down the 24-year-old’s much beloved dog, Harley.
“Ana took Harley everywhere,” said Michael Ray, the victim’s uncle.
Investigators could not confirm whether or not the dog was in the vehicle at the time of the crash, but family members were unable to track down the canine at Schauer’s Aurora apartment.
