Poll: Is Nike’s new ‘gold digging’ shirt distasteful?
Nike's new women's t-shirt, likely alluding to the U.S. women who 29 gold medals at the London Summer Olympics.
Maybe Nike is being distasteful. Maybe Nike is being clever.
No matter where you fall in the conversation, one thing is certain: Like always, Nike is getting people talking.
The conversation has been sparked by a new Nike women’s t-shirt with gold lettering that reads “gold digging.”
The shirt is likely an allusion to the recently-concluded London Summer Olympics, where the U.S. won an Olmypic-best 46 golds. The majority of those golds — 29 of them, to be exact – were won by women.
Tell us, is Nike’s attempt to be edgy coming at the price of being sexist?
