Maybe Nike is being distasteful. Maybe Nike is being clever.

No matter where you fall in the conversation, one thing is certain: Like always, Nike is getting people talking.

The conversation has been sparked by a new Nike women’s t-shirt with gold lettering that reads “gold digging.”

The shirt is likely an allusion to the recently-concluded London Summer Olympics, where the U.S. won an Olmypic-best 46 golds. The majority of those golds — 29 of them, to be exact – were won by women.
