DENVER — Colorado’s Olympians were welcomed home from their competitions in London.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Centennial Mayor Cathy Noon hosted a celebration Saturday to honor Coloradans who competed in the Summer Olympic Games.

Swimming sensation Missy Franklin returned home earlier this week. FOX31 Denver was the only TV station at Denver International Airport and in her neighborhood when she was welcomed back home Monday.

Franklin won more Olympic medals (4 gold and 1 bronze) than any other woman who competed.

She’s starting her senior year at Regis Jesuit High School this week.
