Body found along Cherry Creek in downtown Denver

DENVER — Homicide detectives were called to Cherry Creek where a body was found Tuesday afternoon.
A passerby first called police at about 2:40 p.m.
The person’s body was located along the creek near where E. 6th Ave., Speer Blvd. and Lincoln St. intersect.
Police didn’t release any information about the person. Homicide detectives were called as a precaution, although police spokesman Det. John White said there did not appear to be any signs of foul play.
White also said there are homeless people who live in that area. Investigators had not said if the person was homeless.
