Internet sensation: Mars mission’s mohawk-sporting flight director

The NASA rover Curiosity successfully made its highly challenging landing on Mars early Monday morning. But you might have noticed another “curious” headline.

One of the mission’s crew members was spotted sporting a mohawk. That crew member is Bobak Ferdowsi, a flight director who has been working on the Curiosity mission for nine years.
