Good samaritans recover family photos, now they’re looking for owners
LITTLETON, Colo. — On a very hot day in metro Denver, an alert driver made a neat discovery when she spotted hundreds of family photos blowing in the breeze in the intersection of Jefferson and Wadsworth.
“They were everywhere,” said Suzanne Morrison. “About six other motorists saw men dodging traffic and chipped in to help pick up the cache of family photos.”
Most think someone moving simply lost the box off their van, the box the photos were in was crushed and many of the pictures were damaged and destroyed, but hundreds are in great condition ready for their owners to claim.
“I know I would be devastated if I lost my family pictures,” said Morrison.
If you watch the story and recognize anyone, just send us an e-mail at tips@kdvr.com or call the news desk at: 303.566.7600 so we can reunite the photos with their owners.
