Cool video: animated fly-through of the Grand Canyon

The Colorado River has spent the last 6 million years carving the Grand Canyon.

It’s one mile deep, 277 miles long, and as wide as 18 miles in places. The Grand Canyon is in a class by intself.

The federal government has released a new animated fly-through of the Grand Canyon that was produced through a partnership between NASA, the National Park Service and the U.S. Geological Survey.
