Web Poll: Decision to carry gun into Thornton theater

THORNTON, Colo. — A man was arrested after carrying a holstered weapon into a a movie theater in Thornton this weekend.

James Mapes says he was exercising his right to carry a weapon.

Police say the way he carried it so it was visible. He got in trouble because it caused alarm, according to investigators.

He received a summons and was released.
