Mom gets probation for providing alcohol at underage party
Felicia Lynn Gabel
GREELEY, Colo. — A mom who threw a house party and provided alcohol consumed by dozens of children last year, received probation and community service in a sentencing hearing Thursday.
The Greeley Tribune is reporting Felicia Lynn Gabel, 41, of Fort Lupton, received three years probation and a mandate to serve 180 hours of community service. She has also been ordered to attend a parenting class.
This was after pleading guilty last month to one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class 4 felony, and one count of providing alcohol to a minor, a Class 1 misdemeanor.
When police were called to Gabel’s home on Oct. 16 last year, several juveniles were seen running into a field. An ensuing search turned up 31 people under the age of 21 in a house that was littered with beer cans. Police also found 27 additional individuals under the age of 21 in the basement, where a table for beer pong had been set up.
In total, 27 citations were issued for minors in possession of alcohol.
