Workers in Adams County agency investigated for drug distribution
ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Several employees in the Adams County Human Services Department are under criminal investigation for allegedly distributing drugs.
Two employees were fired in May and two other were placed on administrative leave.
“County officials promptly informed law enforcement and a criminal investigation began,” a statement says.
“(Wednesday), based on information provided by the District Attorney’s Office to Adams County officials, the county placed one additional employee on administrative leave with pay and a county contractor has placed one of its employees on administrative leave.”
No information about whether the activities took place on taxpayers’ time was released.
The investigation continues.
