Web Poll: Will you stand against abortion, civil unions with Denver’s new archbishop?
DENVER — Denver is set to install its fifth archbishop today with a ceremony for Samuel Aquila at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
When he was announced as the new archbishop in May, Aquila said Catholics and Christians “must keep the place of God in the public square.”
Over the course of his service to the Catholic church, Aquila has done that by publicly standing against abortion — he was one of the bishops who vehemently opposed President Obama’s commencement speech at Notre Dame due to his pro-choice stance — as well as civil unions.
Catholic or not, will you support Aquila’s stance on both issues?
