DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — Southbound I-25 was closed as of 6:30 a.m. just south of Castle Rock due to an accident between a car and semi truck.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, southbound I-25 at Tomah Road is expected to remain closed for a good portion of the morning after it was shut down before 5 a.m.

There were no injuries to report, just property damage. One of the semi’s tanks was leaking fuel, which is causing the delay in cleaning the the scene. Cars were being diverted onto a frontage road.
