Police searching for Stapleton flag burners
U.S. flag blows in the wind in Denver
STAPLETON, Colo. — Police said vandals set fire to three American flags overnight on July 13.
The flags that went up in flames were all being flown by homes near the intersection of 33rd Avenue and Xenia Street. Residents in the area said they are very concerned.
“I don’t like it when people do it,” resident Russ Fick said. “I get the whole freedom of speech thing, but burning a flag, especially one that doesn’t belong to me, is not something I would choose to do to express my opinion on something.”
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the crimes to contact police.
