Couple killed in Waldo Canyon Fire identified

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The El Paso County Coroner released the names Thursday of the couple killed in the Waldo Canyon Fire.
William Everett, 74, and Barbara Everett, 73, died when the wildfire swept into their neighborhood and burned their home at 2910 Rossmere St. in the Mountain Shadows subdivision.
The first remains were found June 28 in the rubble of the home, and the second body was found the next day.
The cause of the fire that destroyed 346 homes remains under investigation.
