COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman heading to her sister’s apartment to confront her sibling about a series of text messages got more than she bargained on Sunday, according to Sand Creek Police.

Police are reporting that Tacoma Wade entered the apartment of her sister in the 1200 block of Shasta Drive around 1:24 p.m., and the two began to argue. That argument ended in Wade assaulting her sister then abruptly leaving the complex.

After a short time passed, Wade returned and broke into her sister’s residence for a second time. During the second altercation, the sister used a folding knife to stab Wade, who police are calling a first degree burglary suspect, several times.

Wade stumbled outside and waited for medical assistance for numerous wounds to her upper torso. She was then transported to a local hospital for treatment and police said she will be formally charged with burglary when released.

There was no word on whether or not the sister who stabbed Wade will face charges.
