Body found in Chatfield Reservoir
Chatfield Reservoir, July 4, 2012
LITTLETON, Colo. — A body was recovered from the Chatfield Reservoir Wednesday morning and police believe it may be the body of man who was reported missing June 30.
Douglas County Police spokesman Ron Hanavan said that a call came in at 7 a.m. Wednesday that a body was discovered in Loop C at the reservoir. The body washed up Wednesday in the same area where a missing person had been reported.
That missing person’s report was filed June 30. A dive team was out on the reservoir that day searching for the missing person but nothing was found.
Foul play is not suspected, and police cannot confirm the body found is the same person reported missing until an autopsy is completed.
