Broncos re-sign Matt Prater to 4-year deal

DENVER — The leg behind four game-winning field goals last year will return to the Denver Broncos for four more years, the team reported Monday.
The deal is reportedly worth $13 million over the course of four seasons and came with with a $3 million signing bonus.
Set to enter his sixth year in the NFL, Matt Prater connected on kicks as time expired against the Miami Dolphins and the Minnesota Vikings and on two other kicks in overtime against the San Diego Chargers and the Chicago Bears a year ago.
Prater connected on 19 of 25 field goal attempts in 2011, his fourth season with Denver. He missed only seven field goal attempts over the course of his two previous seasons and his career long is 59 yards — a mark he set in 2010 and matched in 2011.
