A high-resolution satellite image from NASA provides a dramatic view of the wildfires burning across Colorado.

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this image on June 23 when the Waldo Canyon Fire was just a fraction of its current size and the High Park Fire was still raging with limited containment.

Also depicted are the Weber Fire, Little Sand Fire and the small, but destructive Woodland Heights Fire in Estes Park.
