Police investigate shooting in 18000 block of E. Ohio Ave. in Aurora, Colo. June 26, 2012

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora were investigating shootings Tuesday that left one man dead and another injured.

Officers responded to a report of shots fire in the 18000 block of E. Ohio Ave. at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. They found a man in a parking lot who had been shot. He was  a few yards away from an unoccupied vehicle that was still running.

That man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Soon after, police received a second call about another man who showed up on the front porch of someone’s home a few blocks away. He also had a gunshot wound.

He went to a hospital. Police did not release information about his condition.

“There are multiple crime scenes involved with evidence recovered in different locations around the area,” says Aurora Police spokeswoman Sgt. Cassidee Carlson.

Police were looking for other people who may have been involved in the shootings, but no descriptions were released.
