Slideshow: Denver’s PrideFest Parade

DENVER — Denver’s PrideFest Parade was held in downtown on June 17, 2012

Nearly a quarter of a million people marched through Denver Sunday morning as part of PrideFest, a celebration for Colorado’s Gay and Lesbian community.

Sunday morning’s parade was part of an entire weekend of parties and events aimed at raising awareness on behalf of LGBT people.

One thing on many marcher’s minds as they marched by the capitol was the way lawmakers again killed legislation to recognized same-sex civil unions.
