Former school board member pleads guilty to sexual assault
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Ellicott School Board member Stephanie Dickinson, 38, pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy.
Dickison, a mother of two, faces ten years to life on sex-offender intensive supervised parole under a plea agreement that will allow her to avoid prison time, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette.
The judge ordered that Dickinson have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, including her own children. She will only be allowed to speak with them over the phone pending an October 24 sentencing.
Dickinson was arrested last September after ‘sexting’ with a 14-year-old friend of her son who had accompanied her family on a camping trip.
Dickinson served as board treasurer for two years until resigning in October. She was arrested again in November when authorities began receiving multiple tips that there was another under-age victim. A 17-year-old boy came forward and admitted to having sex with Dickinson on multiple occasions.
Dickinson is out on bond and has been living in Texas with a judge’s permission.
