Denver Pride Fest street closures June 16-17

DENVER – Tens of thousands of people will be flocking to Civic Center this weekend for Denver Pride Fest, a colorful two-day event raising money for The Center, a non-profit LGBT cultural hub.

Every year the festival is showered with live entertainment. This year, Fab Morvan, lead singer of former 80’s pop band Milli Vanilli, will headline the musical events Saturday.

There are also reports of Libertarian Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson participating in this weekend’s events.

Another highlight to the event is The Coors Light Parade starting at Cheesman Park traveling down Colfax Avenue into Civic Center Park at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Many road closures will be in effect for this event (June 16-17):

Bannock St: from Colfax to 13th Avenue, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

14th Avenue: from Cherokee St. to Broadway, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Colfax Avenue: between Cherokee Street to Lincoln Street, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Broadway: from 16th Street Mall to 13th Avenue, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

*All streets will remain closed until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 17th
