Police locate family of boy found wandering alone
AURORA, Colo. – Police have located the family of a little boy who was found wandering alone in Aurora Friday, wearing only a polo shirt and a diaper.
At about 11:45 a.m., police dispatch received a call from someone who found the boy at an apartment complex in the 14200 block of East Kentucky Place.
“Police responded and canvassed the area but no one knew where the child belonged,” said Aurora Police spokeswoman Sgt. Cassidee Carlson.
During a second search of the apartment complex Friday evening, police found the child’s grandmother. She told police she fell asleep when she was supposed to be watching the boy, and when she awoke she assumed another family was watching him
Police are considering charges.
