NASA satellite photo shows High Park Fire smoke plume
Satellite imagery provided by NASA shows the High Park Fire is spreading a plume of smoke more than 100 miles to the east of Fort Collins and into Nebraska.
The light brown colored smoke and the heat signatures from the fires were detected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument that flies onboard NASA’s Aqua satellite.
The photo was taken on Sunday, June 10.
