IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — Interested in buying your own mountain?
Echo Mountain will be sold by Racebrook and its auction affiliate, Sheldon Good & Company through a sealed bid auction format. Bids are due August 2, 2012.
The ski resort is 35 miles west of Downtown Denver. It’s the closest and least expensive ski area, with snowfall averaging 220 inches per year.
“A savvy buyer will be able to enjoy the benefits and opportunities of owning and branding their own mountain resort while leveraging the property’s solid history,” says John Cuticelli, CEO of Racebrook.
Features of Echo Mountain include a vertical drop of 660 feet that can be expanded to more than 1500 feet, 16 named trails, three chairlifts, a tested helipad and state-of-the-art snowmaking operations.
