Elderly woman injured in accident involving RTD bus
BOULDER, Colo. – A 90-year-old woman hospitalized Wednesday after her SUV collided with an RTD bus in South Boulder.
The accident happened at about 11:16 p.m. when, according to Boulder Police spokeswoman Kim Kobel, the woman was driving her Ford Bronco eastbound on South Boulder Road and collided with the bus near Foothills Parkway.
She was being treated for “serious injuries” at a local hospital, Kobel said.
There were no passengers in the Bronco or on the bus, and the bus driver was not injured.
“Police are investigating the accident and have not determined which driver was at fault,” Kobel said.
South Boulder Rd. between Foothills Parkway and 55th Street was closed for accident investigation and clean-up.
