Report: Trader Joe’s planning first Denver location

Work has begun on the first Denver location of Trader Joe's grocery store.

DENVER – Trader Joe’s plans to open its first Denver store on Colorado Blvd. at 8th Ave., the Denver Business Journal reported Friday.

The grocer has signed a letter of intent to lease the location, three independent commercial real estate brokers who specialize in retail told the Business Journal.

Trader Joe’s would neither confirm nor deny the report.

Trader Joe’s first Colorado location at Boulder’s Twenty Ninth Street shopping center is scheduled to open in 2013.
