The Denver Nuggets have made the playoffs with a current record of 37-28 to extend their consecutive playoff streak to nine seasons. The Nuggets reward for finishing with the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference is a trip to Los Angeles to face the Lakers.

This Nuggets team has certainly gone through their ups and downs, starting off hot with a 14-5 record at one point before falling almost back to .500 midway through the season.

Injuries really hurt the Nuggets with Danilo Galinari missing significant time and Wilson Chandler coming in late and now missing the rest of the year because of hip surgery. Rudy Fernandez might get back in time for the playoffs but his back surgery has held him out as well.

Can the Nuggets take advantage of a short-handed Lakers team with Metta World Peace sitting out the next seven games? Let’s take a look inside. Here’s the schedule:

Game 1 – Sun April 29, Denver at L.A. Lakers, 3:30 p.m., ABC/R
