DENVER — Xcel Energy says approximately 13,000 customers in the Denver metro area lost power Tuesday morning as a result of the spring storm.

The company said multiple crews were working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

“There are still numerous outages throughout the metro Denver area, but we’re making progress restoring power despite the continued snowfall,” Xcel said on its website. “We’re estimating most customers without power will have electricity restored this evening.”
