CHATFIELD STATE PARK – Because of the extreme heat and dry conditions, a “stage two” fire ban is in place until further notice at Chatfield State Park.

The stage two fire ban means all open burning is banned at the park, including campfires, warming fires, charcoal grill fires, fireworks and any other type of open flame.

Smoking is also prohibited except inside an enclosed car or in an area at least three feet away from any combustible material, such as dead grass.
