Lynch: Broncos offer Manning something other teams can’t
DENVER – Former NFL Pro Bowl Safety John Lynch thinks the Denver Broncos have one key advantage in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.
John Elway.
“I think Peyton’s going to look at (the Broncos) and say ‘I know they’re going in the right direction,” Lynch, who played four seasons with Denver, told FOX31’s Ron Zappolo Thursday. “They’ve got a pretty good president (in Elway) who knows how important a quarterback is.”
Lynch, who considers both Manning and Elway to be close friends, says the ex-Colt and future Hall of Famer could be lured by the opportunity to work with a two-time Super Bowl champion, and also succeed in the short-term.
“I think Peyton knows that John’s going to get this place right. It’s just a matter of how. And when I say “right,” I mean winning a championship. And that intrigues Peyton.”
Watch Ron Zappolo’s entire interview with John Lynch this Sunday at 10:35 p.m. on FOX 31 Denver.
