Gusty winds fuel 650 acre grassfire in northern Colorado

WELLINGTON, Colo. -- Despite gusty winds over northern Colorado, firefighters were able to contain a grass fire that quickly spread to 650 acres Sunday afternoon.

The "Vesta Lane Fire"  was located approximately 25 miles north of Fort Collins near County Road 9

Reverse emergency calls went out to nearby residents, but officials did not issue mandatory evacuations.

A shed was damaged in the fire.
