CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — The second St. Jude Dream House is now being built in Castle Rock and one lucky person will be able to move in for only $100. Raffle tickets go on sale June 20.
Proceeds benefit sick kids who need the help of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Supporting St. Jude is so important because we treat children at no cost and the research that’s discovered at St. Jude is shared freely,” said St. Jude spokeswoman Tara Moyer.
The new home in The Meadows home development has more than 4,000 square feet and five bedrooms.
FOX31 Denver is proud to have helped raise $1.1 million in the raffle for the St. Jude Dream Home built last year. Eleven thousand tickets were sold.
Yadira Trevizo won the $500,000 home.
The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce is working with Oakwood Homes and Solid Rock Excavation to make the dream come alive. Patrick Hamill, CEO of Oakwood Homes says donating the home is the right thing to do.
“Kids are our future and they have no lobbyists, no anything, so we’re there to support them,” Hamill said.
Watch FOX31 in the coming weeks for updates on the Dream Home’s construction and stories about the brave kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
