One person dies in mobile home fire in Brush

MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. — A fire in a mobile home killed one person Monday north of Brush on Colorado’s northeastern plains.

“The initial call came in at 4:47a.m., and firefighters from the Brush Fire Department found a mobile home with heavy fire showing,” says Morgan County Sheriff Jim Crone.

Firefighters found a body inside the mobile home after they were able to extinguish the flames.

No one else was hurt. Officials have not released any additional information about the victim or how the fire started.
